Girls Day!

March ended with a bang! I planned my semi-regular Girls Day around Kristin coming in to town, and made sure that Terri was going to be there too. We ended up with quite the crowd!

I have to remember to do this more often!

Our Grand Canyon Adventure!

We took the kids and the dogs, and on the Wednesday of Spring Break (March 14) drove up to the Grand Canyon. Brian had only been there once (before we moved to Maryland), and Share had never seen it. So, since we were all off of work that week, it was a good time for a day trip!

Seeing a Hot Air Balloon launch was a cool way to start the day!

Had a good time with the kids, Brian mostly slept on the drive up, but Share and I talked for a while, and it was fun just hanging out with them at the Visitor's Center at the Canyon.

As usual, I took wayyyyy more pictures of the Canyon than I have saved here. I'm trying to learn to take many and use the best when it comes to my photography philosophy! I used PSE to accentuate the colors, as b the time we got to the Canyon proper it was closing in on noon.

Gotta love men and picture taking. Aaryk's 'what's going on?' expression, and Brian's 'I'm awake, really!' look are just priceless! :)

Funniest moment of the day. Share had worked up her courage to stand near the edge, and Brian, being a good hubby came up to support her by holding the hood of her hoodie. Aaryk, in classic style steps up behind them.

It was a glorious day, and I think a good time was had by all!

March Scrapping!

Unsurprisingly, I've gotten behind again in my scrapping. Here's some things we did early in March. I'm working on the Grand Canyon trip next, and I might even get caught up through Easter this weekend!

And, from something as ordinary as a walk to the Post Office. Every day can be an adventure, especially if I have a camera! :)

Happy Easter!

On our way home from the sunrise service, and I am struck by a couple of things.
First off, next time I need to remember that the sunrise service is OUTSIDE and to bring a jacket! :)
Secondly, having the sun beak the horizon during the Holy Holy is just awe inspiring. Even the little blackbird that joined us in song during Mass stopped for that moment!

This is the day that the Lord hath made,
We will rejoice and be glad in it!
He is Risen
He is Risen Indeed!

Through the Cross

3pm on Good Friday.

As I sit in silence, remembering, I thank God for making me a part of His family.
Through the pain,
 through the sorrow,
 through the betrayal.
Through the Cross.
To Glory.

It's important to remember, there can be no Glory without the Cross.

THROUGH the Cross. Not around it, not near it...but THROUGH the Cross is the only way to Glory.
